Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

Reading and Public Hearing This item seeks approval of a construction contract with Legacy Signs of Texas for Phase II of the Parks Signage Improvement Project, through The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) in an amount not to exceed $251,655 and a contingency amount not to exceed $25,000. The project was authorized in the FY2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program by Resolution R-25-5075, in an amount of $220,000. Phase II of the Parks Signage Improvement Project includes the construction of new park monument signs, and park rules signage at LD Lockett Park, McPherson Park, Bransford Park, Woodbriar Park, Sparger Park, Overland Park, Reagan Park, and two signs at the Nature Center. The first phase of the signage replacement project completed by Legacy Signs of Texas included signage at City Park, Kimzey Park, Nature Center Park, and Pleasant Run Park. The City of Colleyville is a participating member of TIPS. As a participating member, governmental agencies have access to competitively procured contracts with quality vendors. For branding consistency and quality of workmanship, staff is recommending awarding this contract to Legacy Signs of Texas.
