Consider Resolution No. 667-26 Approving contract with Nico’s Landscape LLC for citywide landscape services in the amount of $178,500 and authorize City Manager to sign contract

In September 2023, the City of Richland Hills sent out a Request for Proposals (RFP) for citywide landscape services. Three companies responded to the RFP and Nico’s Landscape LLC was awarded the contract based on overall best value. The contract terms were twelve (12) months with the option to extend the contract for up to four (4) additional years in one (1) year intervals. This recommendation will be the third time the City will renew the approved contract with Nico’s Landscape LLC. Staff has been pleased with Nico’s Landscape LLC’s performance. They have been very responsive to adjusting mowing and irrigation schedules as needed. Staff has been particularly impressed by the manual weeding and trimming of trees that have been performed as part of the landscaping contract. The contract term under this renewal will conclude on September 30, 2027. No other changes have been proposed to the contract.
