Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

The City of San Angelo is seeking Council's support for a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an Advance Funding Agreement (AFA) with TxDOT for the Sunset Drive Rehabilitation Project through TxDOT's Carbon Reduction Program. The $1.48 million award will assist in the construction of the pedestrian improvements along Sunset Dr. from Foster Road to Houston Harte Expressway including sidewalks and bus turnouts. Approval of this resolution commits the City to the 20% local match, to pay for any cost overruns, reaffirms the City's support of the project, and authorizes the City to negotiate and execute the AFA defining the terms of the agreement between the City and TxDOT. This resolution is a requirement to proceed with executing the grant award's funding agreement with TxDOT.
