Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

Fairview Fire Rescue has utilized Emergicon Billing for EMS transport calls since Fairview brought EMS services in-house in 2015. For the past 12 years, Emergicon has also offered billing services for fire-related calls ; however, Fairview has elected not to participate in this service to date. As you know, the cost of providing fire and emergency services can be significant depending on the type and scale of the incident.

Bastiat Liberty & Property Rights Analysis

This motion is scored as EXPANDS_GOVERNMENT (Impact Weight: 6.5/10). Under the Bastiat Liberty Watchdog Index, measures that increase tax rates or fee schedules, issue new debt or Certificates of Obligation, expand regulatory/zoning restrictions on private land use, or authorize unbudgeted spending expansions reduce an official's Freedom Score when voted YES (and reward dissenting NO votes).
