1. Mr. Casper reminded residents that it’s time to sign up for Addressing Mesquite Day (AMD). This year, AMD will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026. For 22 years, this annual day of service has changed the lives of thousands of Mesquite homeowners and their families. If you know anyone who needs assistance with exterior house or yard projects, encourage them to complete an AMD request form. Sign up for AMD volunteers is open now. Learn more about getting assistance and volunteering by visiting www.cityofmesquite.com/AMD. 2. Mr. Green stated that the City of Mesquite and Sharing Life have rolled out the annual Spread the Love campaign. Residents and businesses are encouraged to donate jars of peanut butter and jelly so Mesquite kids can have nutritious meals over the summer when school lunches are not available. Also, due to nut allergies, please consider donating alternative butters such as sunflower seed butter or pumpkin seed butter. Last year, approximately 4,000 pounds of jars of nut and seed butters and jelly were collected, which is enough to make approximately 25,536 sandwiches. Donations can be dropped off at City Hall, Municipal Center or at either Library location. Visit www.cityofmesquite.com/SpreadTheLove to learn more. 3.
