Consider action to approve a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Watauga, Texas adopting Written Investment Policies Standards governing the City's investment Practices; adopting Authorized Broker/Dealers list for the City of Watauga; repealing conflicting resolutions; and providing an effective date.

An annual review of the City’s investment policy and strategy must be documented by formal action of the City Council. The policy was last reviewed and approved by the City Council in September 2025. A listing of Broker/Dealers is also attached. There have been no changes to this year's policy. The City received the Investment Policy of Distinction Certificate, issued by the Government Treasurers’ Organization of Texas (GTOT), in late 2025. This Certificate is awarded for two years and is eligible for renewal in 2027. Our policy meets all the requirements set by the Public Funds Investment Act adopted by the Texas Legislature.
