12. Consideration and Possible Action on a Revision to the 2026-2027 School Calendar Description: Originally, Hamshire-Fannett ISD was not scheduled to host a UIL Academic Meet. However, Huffman ISD reached out to us and asked if we would be willing to host the Middle School UIL Academic Meet. We agreed to host the event and are excited to have the opportunity to do so. Because hosting the meet will require a significant number of teachers and staff to help run the event, we are requesting a revision to the 2026-27 district calendar. We are proposing that Thursday, February 4, 2027, be designated as an Early Release Day instead of a regular school day. This schedule change will allow us to have the staff needed to successfully host the Middle School UIL Academic Meet while minimizing the impact on our instructional calendar. Early Release Day - February 4, 2027 February 4 will be designated as an Early Release Day due to the District hosting the Middle School UIL Academic Meet.
