Workshop on Proposed Budget and Tax Rate i} Call to Order approximately 4:00 p.m. by Vice President John D. Dorris i" Workshop to review Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year ending 09/30/2014 Manager Paul Weatherby presented the members with a budget worksheet. The budget was reviewed and suggestions were made. ill Workshop to review Proposed Tax Rate for 2013 and dates for scheduling public hearings on Proposed Tax Rate for 2013 Board members reviewed dates for hearings. IV Adjourn at 4:56 p.m. by Vice President John D. Dorris SPECIAL CALLED MEETING on BUDGET AND PROPOSED TAX RATE | Call to Order at 4:57 p.m. by Vice President John D. Dorris Il Consider and/or adopt Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year Ending 09/30/2014 and Adopt Budget Resolution The certified property tax base value for the Pecos County Appraisal Roll for MPGCD for 2013 is $3,692,604,170. The budget for the year ending 09-30-2014 reflects a total income from all sources of $940,176, and total expenses of Middle Pecos GCD Minutes of August 2, 2013 Page 2 Janet Groth made a motion to adopt the proposed budget for the fiscal year ending 09/30/14. Motion seconded by Evans Turpin. Motion carried without opposition. Ill Consider and/or adopt Proposed Tax Rate for 2013 Alvaro Mandujano, Jr. made a motion to adopt a proposed tax rate for 2013 of .025 per $100 valuation. Motion seconded by Weldon Blackwelder. Motion carried without opposition. IV Consider and/or act upon Scheduling Public Hearings on Proposed Tax Rate for 2013 Alvaro Mandujano, Jr. made a motion to set the public hearings on the proposed tax rates on August 20th at 10 a.m. and August 23rd at 10 a.m. Motion seconded by Weldon Blackwelder. Motion carried without opposition. V_ Adjourn Evans Turpin made a motion to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Alvaro Mandujano, Jr. the motion carried, and the meeting adjourned at 5:06 PM.
