Statewide Teacher Vacancy Advisory Task Force Nominee Presenter: Dr. Jessica Gore Description: On June 22, Snyder ISD was invited by Matt Crow with the Office of Speaker Dustin Burrows to recommend a teacher for a statewide advisory task force because of the work and progress occurring in our district. Snyder ISD proudly submitted Afton Schneider for consideration. If selected, she will join approximately 30 teachers from across Texas who will meet regularly and provide recommendations directly to the Commissioner of Education. Tonight, we want to recognize Afton and celebrate the opportunity for a Snyder ISD teacher to potentially represent our district, West Texas, and the teaching profession at the state level.
