Introduction of the Uvalde Crisis Assistance Response and Emergency Support (CARES) Team Assistant City Manager Michael “Mike” Davis introduced the Crisis Assistance Response and Emergency Support Team (CARES), Jonathan Martinez and Savanah Anderson. Mr. Martinez is a former United States Marine and Detective, while Ms. Anderson brings extensive training and experience as a member of MHDD. The CARES team follows up on crisis calls and provides case management services. The team also assists with transporting individuals to various crisis centers throughout the State of Texas. At this time, the grant renewal is in its final stages, and the team is currently awaiting approval.
