8. Authority to condemn electrical system and equipment. Whenever the Chief Building Official or designee ascertains that any electrical system or equipment regulated in this code has become hazardous to life, health or property, they may order in writing that such electrical system or equipment either be removed or restored to a safe condition, whichever is appropriate.
