Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

Reading and Public Hearing The Voluntary Library Fund provides for the development and improvement of library programs, services, and capital items, including collection development (books, DVDs, CDs, digital, and other materials). The Voluntary Library Fund is the primary source of funding for all library materials, collection processing supplies, and programs. The attached Voluntary Library Fund Report FY2017-FY2026 provides an overview of the Library Board recommended and City Council approved expenditures. On August 17, 2026, the Colleyville Public Library Board reviewed the proposed FY2027 Colleyville Public Library budget and unanimously approved the use of the Voluntary Library Fund for the purchase of library collection materials, processing supplies, and library programs, in an amount not to exceed $195,000. The projected fund balance on September 30, 2026, is $668,471. Projected revenue for FY27 is $198,576, less the projected expenditure of $195,000, leaves a projected fund balance at the end of FY27 (9/30/27) of $670,671.
