LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT Violet Mak of PEA Group (PEA), the District's landscape architects, updated the board on the status of plan approvals and preparations construction of the Nicholas P. Fava U.S. Marine Memorial Park. She presented and reviewed a possible change order to expedite shipment of the stone needed for the memorial markers to be installed at the park at a contract price increase of $14,835.00, but after discussion the board decided against that additional expense as the markers can be installed after the park opening. Upon motion by Mr. Whisler, seconded by Mr. Pershall, and unanimously carried, the board approved the landscape architect's report.
