DETENTION MAINTENANCE REPORT Sam Cocke of Double Oak Erosion, Inc., the District’s detention pond maintenance contractor, reported as to the status and condition of the District’s detention pond facilities. Mr. Cocke reviewed their written report with the board and responded to questions. Mr. Fava noted that last month he asked that Mr. Cocke contact Mr. Fava to arrange for an inspection of the District’s detention ponds, but he didn't hear back from Mr. Cocke until last week. Mr. Cocke apologized and explained that he had been waiting for the ponds to be mowed. Mr. Fava stated that Mr. Cocke should have let him know that he was waiting for the ponds to be mowed. Mr. Armand had questions regarding the Double Oak contract and pricing, which Mr. Cocke responded to. The board asked that Double Oak’s reports include quarterly updates as to the status of their billings versus their maintenance budget and approved proposals for additional work. Upon motion by Mr. Whisler, seconded by Mr. Pershall, and unanimously carried, the board approved the detention pond maintenance contractor's report. It was noted that the Double Oak contract does not specifically provide for their attendance at board meetings, and after discussion, upon motion by Mr. Fava, second by Mr. Armand, and unanimously carried, the board resolved to include attendance at District meetings in the Double Oak contract.
