LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT Violet Mak of PEA Group (PEA), the District's landscape architects, reported as to the status of their work on design of the proposed Veterans Memorial Park. She presented pricing for the Marine Corps logo sculpture centerpiece proposed for the Memorial Park under design. After discussion, upon motion by Mr. Whisler, seconded by Mr. Armand, and unanimously carried, the 3 board authorized PEA to move forward with design work and securing Marine Corps authorization to replicate the Corps logo (globe, anchor and eagle) for the park.
