TAX RATE John Howell of The GMS Group, LLC, distributed and reviewed a memorandum and spreadsheet regarding the District's financial requirements to be met with the tax levy for 2025. The District’s engineers have confirmed that the District is not a "Developed District" as defined by Texas Water Code Section 49.23602. Based upon the District's taxable value as certified by the Harris County Appraisal District, Mr. Howell is recommending a debt service tax rate of $0.2150 and a maintenance tax rate of up to $0.2150, for a total 2025 tax rate of $0.43. After discussion, upon motion by Mr. Whisler, seconded by Mr. Armand, and unanimously carried, the board authorized the publication of $0.43 as the District's proposed 2025 tax rate. The board will conduct the required public hearing and formally adopt the tax rate at the next regular board meeting.
