SMOKE TESTING It was noted that in March, IDS sent certified letters to 24 residents who had evidence of infiltration by smoke testing, requesting that they contact the District operator for an on-site inspection. To date, none of the residents have responded. After discussion, the board asked that IDS send follow-up letters to the residents, and authorized Water District Management Company (“WDM”) to contact the residents by telephone in order to make arrangements for an on-site visit. Charles Townsend presented WDM’s proposal for repairs to District facilities that showed evidence of infiltration by smoke testing, at a total cost of $4050.85. After discussion, upon motion 3 by Mr. Armand, seconded by Mr. Pershall, and unanimously carried, the board approved the WDM proposal for this work.
