Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

TRASH COLLECTION CONTRACTS Aimee Ordeneaux with Texas Pride Disposal reviewed their recent request for a rate increase. She noted the board's position that the rate increase should be phased in 5% now and 5% next year, with CPI increases after that, but requested that the contract also be extended for another five years and that Memorial Day be added as a holiday. The board had no objection to these additional revisions, but is also in favor of combining the District’s two contracts with 5% increases now and next year for Olde Oaks, followed by an increase to make Olde Oaks the same rate as Oak Creek Village, with annual CPI increases after that. Upon motion by Mr. Whistler, seconded by Mr. Fava, and unanimously carried, the board approved the foregoing approach. Ms. Ordeneaux will review this proposal with the other districts serving Olde Oaks and follow up with an appropriate contract amendment or new contract for consideration by the board.
