Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

7. Discuss/consider taking action to set date for confirmation election In light of Attorney General’s recent ruling that a county cannot advance funds to a Board of Directors Meeting Bluebonnet Ground Water Conservation District January 16, 2002 special group, the need to set the confirmation election date is more pressing. Consensus of opinion is that a November election would be most cost effective for this district. Mr. Ward moved and Mr. Beckendorff seconded that Bluebonnet Groundwater Conservation District hold their confirmation election in November along with other November elections in each county. Motion Carried. Other groundwater conservation district elections are as follows: Post Oak - not aware of election date; Lost Pine - November; Mid East - November; and Brazos Valley - May.
