DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Water Conservation Update Alex Johnson, Director of Communications, presented an update on the District' s ongoing Water Conservation efforts. He reviewed the 2026- 2027 Conservation Program Goals that includes the reduction of water usage ( primarily focusing on outdoor water use), education and outreach efforts, and engagement of municipal, utility, and community stakeholders. He provided details on the initiatives designed to achieve these goals. Mr. Johnson advised that in conjunction with the Tarrant Regional Water District, the NTMWD has engaged in a multi- year Conservation Visioning Project. The goal for this project is to develop a strategic framework for a sustainable water future in North Central Texas. The project will bring together key stakeholders to identify barriers, identify best practices, and create strategies that will delay the need for costly new water supplies in the future.
