Staff Report & Agenda Item Details
City of League City and the City of Friendswood provide assistance in the delivery of emergency medical services to persons located within their respective jurisdictions. The cost of performing these services entails not only the patient care cost but also the costs associated with each entity's readiness to serve, including, but not limited to, ambulance maintenance, personnel, equipment, communications systems, and related operational resources. This proposed agreement establishes terms and conditions under which these services may be requested, provided, and reimbursed. The rates included in this agreement are the rates that League City charges its residents for similar services -- $375 per non-transport call and $1,700 per transport. Under the agreement, Friendswood would pay these amounts when requesting services from League City and vice versa.
