Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

The City of Rowlett adopted the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) distance requirements for businesses selling alcoholic beverages for off-premise consumption. These requirements relate to the minimum distance such businesses may locate from a school, church, or hospital. In January 2013, City Council amended the Code of Ordinances to allow for a variance process should a business wish to locate within the minimum distance. This item is to consider such a request.
