Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

Richard English presented a memorandum dated May 15, 2026 requesting ratification of a proposal with Day Services, LLC for the Texas EMS/Indian Harbor Fire Department Water Line Project. As stated in the memo, the Board approved to extend an offsite water line to serve the new Indian Harbor Fire Station at the October 2025 Board Meeting. Attached for review is the proposal from Day Services, LLC to construct the line. Given the need to expedite the project, R. English accepted the proposal on behalf of AMUD April 16th. Upon commencement of the project by Day Services, Ricky Reeves of Texas EMS met with T. Riggio requesting the line be extended on site to locate the fire hydrant and water service in closer proximity to the new building. Texas EMS agreed to cover the increase in the project costs. After discussion, a motion was made to approve the ratification of the proposal from Day Services, LLC for the Texas EMS/Indian Harbor Fire Department Water Line Project in the amount of $115,387.00.
