6. Adopt budget for fiscal year ending July 31, 2027. Mr. Wilson recognized Ms. Johnston, who presented to and reviewed with the Board the budgets for the fiscal year ending July 31, 2027, copies of which are attached to the Bookkeeper’s Report. She reviewed the budget for the STP and stated that the budget for the insurance was originally budgeted as $10,000 and that for 2027 the cost would more accurately be around $16,000. She asked if the Board would like to leave the number as is, or to revise. Discussion ensued. Director Higgins proposed keeping the amount as is, and amending once the District’s tax rate is set. It was the consensus of the Board to keep the amount as is, and to amend the amount once the tax rate is set. Upon motion by Director Higgins, seconded by Director Boards, after full discussion and the question being put to the Board, the Board voted unanimously to adopt the budgets for the fiscal year ending July 31, 2027.
