Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

10. Discuss purchase of District tablets. Mr. Wilson recognized Director Smith- Boards, who stated that she provided an email to Directors breaking down how much consultants spend on printing for the meetings and that the Board consider different tablet options for Directors to use for meetings and conferences. Ms. Cook reviewed a spreadsheet comparing different tablet options, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit G. She stated that the internet service line is $37.99 a month per line, for $189.99 a month for five lines. She noted that the cost column is the cost for five tablets. Discussion ensued. Mr. Wilson stated that if the Board decides to move forward with tablets, a policy for District tablets is needed. Upon motion by Director Smith-Boards, seconded by Director Jacobs, after full discussion and the question being put to the Board, the Board voted unanimously to authorize Ms. Cook to research the top four listed tablet options on the spreadsheet for a price not to exceed $3,500 for all five tablets, including accessories.
