Official Roll-Call Vote
Staff Report & Agenda Item Details
11. Hear General Manager report, hear security report, discuss maintenance and operations charges for District sponsored parks, and modifications/additions to park facilities. Mr. Graham recognized Ms. Cook, who presented to and reviewed with the Board the General Manager Report, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit I. She discussed the CPSI certification for the District employee. She discussed the Holiday at the Park and reviewed two estimates, one in the amount of $2,570.00 and the other in the amount of $1,350.00. Discussion ensued regarding insurance. Ms. Cook noted that both estimates include that after the lights are taken down, the lights then belong to the District. A motion was made by Director Jacobs and seconded by Director Maxwell to approve the $2,570.00 estimate. With Directors Randall, Higgins and Smith-Boards opposing and Director Maxwell abstaining, the motion failed. Upon motion by Director Randall, seconded by Director Smith-Boards, after full discussion and the question being put to the Board, the Board voted unanimously to approve the $1,350.00 estimate, subject to insurance verification and if the insurance can’t be provided to go with the $2,570.00, subject to insurance verification. It was noted that if neither option has insurance than the Board doesn’t approve either estimate. Ms. Cook reported on the Signs at the Park and the Beehive at the Pavilion. She reviewed the Security Report, a copy of which is attached to the General Manager Report. Ms. Cook reported that Director Higgins will be the next managing supervisor beginning in January. THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD, the meeting was adjourned. * * * 203744471.1 FORT BEND COUNTY MUNIC
