3. Consider Financial Advisor’s tax rate recommendations and Adopt Order Designating Officer to Calculate and Publish Tax Rate and taking other actions in connection with the levy of a tax for 2022. Director Randall joined the meeting at this time. President Jacobs recognized Mr. Cohen, who presented to and reviewed with the Board the financial advisor’s 2022 Tax Rate Analysis, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit B. He reviewed the District’s certified assessed value for 2022, and recommended a total tax rate of 132779618.1 $0.86 per $100 in assessed value. He discussed allocating $0.49 of the total tax per assessed $100 valuation to fund the District’s debt payments and $0.37 per assessed $100 valuation to pay for the operation and maintenance of District facilities. He noted that the District is defined as a developed district. Discussion ensued. Ms. Maher reviewed an Order Designating Officer to Calculate and Publish Tax rates for 2022 (the “Order”), a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit C. Mr. Flores stated that the tax rate will be published in the Fort Bend Star. Upon motion by Director Randall, seconded by Director Jones, after full discussion and the question being put to the Board, the Board voted unanimously to adopt the Order, thereby authorizing Tax Tech Inc. to publish a proposed tax rate of $0.86 per assessed $100 valuation ($0.49 for debt service and $0.37 for maintenance and operation).
