OPERATIONS, PROJECTS AND MAINTENANCE
Staff Report & Agenda Item Details
The Operations report was provided at the meeting. Mr. Benefiel went over a couple of the projects with updates. Scoop’s launch pads were discussed with importance on security measures. Director Arceo asked Mr. Benefiel if any updates on the areas where residents were reporting stagnant water and debris was collecting due to lack of water movement, Mr. Benefiel reported that his staff had been out to those areas cleaning out debris, but he and Mr. Burke suggested that possibly “bubblers” be added to those areas so there is water movement besides when it rains. The Board would like a comparison of staff picking up debris as to the savings with Scoop. The waterway tunnels upkeep that was discussed last month was brought to attention of Councilman Zapanta with the City of Irving, to see where the responsibility is for this upkeep with lighting and painting. Director Correa thanked VRA, DCURD and the City of Irving for the communications and working together to get questions or situations taken care of.
