2. Public Comments. Director Randall joined the meeting at this time. Ms. Evans asked about a payment made to a security officer regarding keeping the park lights on. Director Higgins stated that there is no District policy to pay security to keep the park lights on. Mr. Williams stated that the payment was for ushering out cars, not to keep light on. Ms. Evans also asked about the Southern Colony Avenue pedestrian crossing and if the HOA was provided information for their approval. Director Higgins stated that there is currently no contract for the Southern Colony Avenue pedestrian crossing. Ms. Evans requested that there be more communication between the District and the HOA.

Bastiat Liberty & Property Rights Analysis

This motion is scored as EXPANDS_GOVERNMENT (Impact Weight: 2.0/10). Under the Bastiat Liberty Watchdog Index, measures that increase tax rates or fee schedules, issue new debt or Certificates of Obligation, expand regulatory/zoning restrictions on private land use, or authorize unbudgeted spending expansions reduce an official's Freedom Score when voted YES (and reward dissenting NO votes).
