Castaneda Description: Approval of the 2027-2028 Academic School Year Calendar is necessary to establish instructional days, student and staff holidays, professional development days, and reporting periods in compliance with Texas Education Code requirements. Adoption of the calendar will allow the district to communicate key dates to staff, students, families, and the community for planning purposes and ensure alignment with the instructional and operational needs of Donna Independent School District. The calendar was selected through a voting process in which DISD staff participated.
