Staff Report & Agenda Item Details
Every 5 years, the Texas Statutes require municipalities to update their Impact Fees with a land use and capital improvements study and update. Fairview's 5 year window is coming to a close. The statutes do allow a city to skip an update if there has been minimal change to the land uses and capital improvements plan since the previous study. Staff is suggesting that this is the case at this time.

The statutes require that an advisory committee take a look at the current conditions and make their own recommendation to council. Their conclusions could either recommend an update or to postpone for another 5 years. The committee must contain at lease 5 members with 3 of them not currently serving on boards or commissions.
