10.A.7. Approve the Breckenridge ISD Safety and Security Audit Survey for TxSSC Agenda Item Type: Action Item Description: The Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC) District Safety and Security Audit Survey is a state-required reporting process used to assess each school district’s compliance with school safety and security requirements. Districts report information regarding safety and security audits, emergency operations planning, required drills and exercises, safety and security committee activities, facility security measures, training, and other statutory requirements. The survey allows TxSSC and the Texas Education Agency to identify statewide trends, areas of compliance, and opportunities for districts to strengthen their safety practices. Districts should ensure that reported information accurately reflects current practices and that supporting documentation is maintained locally.
