Join the City of Friendswood Police Department, Friendswood EMS, and the Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department for an evening of fun, food, and connection as we work together to build stronger, safer neighborhoods. Texas Residents will celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Here is more detailed information about the event: Registration is now open to host a National Night Out party in your neighborhood. Be sure to sign up by September 1, 2026, at: https://www.ci.friendswood.tx.us/FormCenter/Police-Department-4/Application-for-National-Night-Out-Party-72 . This year, the Friendswood Police Department will be supporting FISDCares by collecting Sleep Fit Kits for local teens. These kits consist of adult-sized socks, pajamas, and underwear. *For underwear, we are requesting briefs for boys and seamless briefs for girls. ***The neighborhood that collects the most Sleep Fit Kits will be recognized with a trophy.***

Bastiat Liberty & Property Rights Analysis

This motion is scored as EXPANDS_GOVERNMENT (Impact Weight: 2.2/10). Under the Bastiat Liberty Watchdog Index, measures that increase tax rates or fee schedules, issue new debt or Certificates of Obligation, expand regulatory/zoning restrictions on private land use, or authorize unbudgeted spending expansions reduce an official's Freedom Score when voted YES (and reward dissenting NO votes).
