Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

9. Well Construction Fee Waiver for Two BSEACD Monitor Wells in the JWGMZ: GM Flatten and Board discussed the benefit of cooperation between neighboring groundwater districts and that Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer Conservation District (BSEACD) is constructing two monitor wells within the JWGMZ at its own expense for the mutual enrichment of aquifer science to both districts and the community. Director Shelton moved that HTGCD well construction fees for the two BSEACD dedicated monitor wells in the JWGMZ be waived due to the fee amounts being greatly outweighed by the well construction cost savings and scientific benefit to the District, and an HTGCD Board Order be signed reflecting the decision. Director Jones seconded. The motion prevailed by the following vote: Aye: Doc Jones, Toby Shelton, Linda Kaye Rogers, John Worrall Nay: None Absent: Holly Fults.
