Engineer’s Items: a) Storm Water Management Plan/MS4 – We held the annual MS4 operator training on July 13, 2021, and a representative from Si Environmental attended. The personal protective equipment polluting storm sewers flyer can be found on the District’s website. A resident reported a MS4 violation at 3831 Hillbrook. The resident reported a neighbor allegedly sweeps tree leaves, dirt, and grass clippings into the District’s storm sewer. The operator completed a site visit and found little debris in the storm sewer inlets. The Board may consider distribution of additional educational fliers or authorizing preparation of a letter notifying the homeowner of the alleged illicit discharge. b) Street Sweeping – Storm Water Solutions submitted a proposal and 1295 form in the amount of $2,000 to sweep the major roads in Silverlake. c) Nutria Removal – Pest Police completed a site visit last month and removed one nutria. We received an invoice in the amount of $400.00 for the Board’s approval. d) Radar Signs – The operator sent in the radar sign that needed to be overhauled and placed the extra sign in its place. e) Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Phase II – The contractor, Sustanite Support Services, continues improvements on Clarifier No. 4 and the blowers. They are 38% complete by time and 14% complete by value. Pay Estimate No. 3 is in order and we recommend payment in the amount of $75,639.24. The District’s share is $13,312.51. 1
