Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

The San Antonio River Authority requested proposals from qualified firms to provide the proper collection, handling, transportation, and recycling of used computers and electronic components collected from an estimated six annual collection events for Wilson, Karnes, and Goliad County residents. The intent is to award a single contract for all services needed. In July 2025 staff issued a request for proposal (RFP) for services and five (5) proposals were received. An evaluation team reviewed the responses and ranked the firms in order of their evaluated scores providing the best value. Staff is recommending the award of a contract to VH Techworks, LLC., for a one-year term, with the option to renew the contract for two additional one-year periods. The contract has an estimated value greater than $150,000 over the contract term and requires Board approval.
