Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

Field crews continue to work on active leaks; this month we have seen an increase in the volume of leaks coming in potentially due to an extended dry period. ii. I would like to highlight the dedication and commitment demonstrated by our crews and their continued focus on serving CCSUD customers. On August 20th and August 29th, the District experienced two major 12-inch water line breaks resulting in significant service outages. Our on-call crew responded quickly, working to restore service where possible by isolating the smallest areas feasible and rerouting water when alternate supply was available. Additionally, numerous field staff who were not scheduled to be on call voluntarily reported to assist with the response and restoration efforts. Employees worked through the night alongside the on-call crews to help restore service as quickly and safely as possible. The willingness of our employees to step up when their coworkers and customers need support is a testament to the culture we are continuing to establish at Crystal Clear. Their teamwork, ownership, and commitment to our customers are important strengths of our organization.
