H.10. Approve the Submission of a Waiver to TEA for Virtual Homebound Instruction Description: In order for the district to be able to provide credit towards attendance and receive ADA funding, students must be in attendance in person. However, in extreme cases, a district may seek approval to provide Remote Homebound instructional services, count the student as in attendance, and receive ADA funding for that student. Currently, there is an individual student who, for medical purposes, requires Remote Homebound as an option as they have recently returned from a hospital.

Bastiat Liberty & Property Rights Analysis

This motion is scored as EXPANDS_GOVERNMENT (Impact Weight: 2.0/10). Under the Bastiat Liberty Watchdog Index, measures that increase tax rates or fee schedules, issue new debt or Certificates of Obligation, expand regulatory/zoning restrictions on private land use, or authorize unbudgeted spending expansions reduce an official's Freedom Score when voted YES (and reward dissenting NO votes).
