BOARD POLICY CNC(LEGAL) TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT: TRANSPORTATION SAFETY School buses are required to be equipped with three-point seat belts by 2029 in accordance with SB 546. Language to that effect has been added, including required reports that must be submitted to TEA if a board determines the district to purchase a bus equipped with the required 3-point harness seat belts or retrofit and install those seat belts on all buses that need them by the 2029 deadline.
