By limiting access to personal devices during class, the pouches reduce distractions, allowing students to focus on learning tasks and actively participate in instruction. This supports a more effective learning environment, improves academic outcomes, and promotes equitable learning conditions by minimizing off-task behavior and helping all students remain engaged in Tier 1 instruction. The recommended vendor is Yondr at a cost of $199,784. This expense will be paid through the 2025-2026 Phone Free Schools Grant Program, Cycle 2.
