10.D. Food Service Policy for negative balances. Presenter: Robert Helms Description: Approval of food service policy regarding negative account balances. Students will be permitted to accrue up to $50 in negative charges for reimbursable meals and up to $10 in negative charges for non-reimbursable or à la carte purchases. The Food Service Secretary will regularly report outstanding balances to campus principals, so campuses can work directly with families, assist with meal applications and available supports, and address balances before students reach the established limits. Once the applicable charge limit is reached, additional charges in that category will not be permitted and a sack lunch will be provided. Primary and Intermediate students continue to receive reimbursable meals at no cost; however, the $10 limit for non-reimbursable or à la carte purchases will apply.
