SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2026, FOR THE PROPOSED 2026-2027 TAX RATE General Manager Shadden - That would be before our regular meeting next month. We'll have a public hearing. Director woody — So, we're going from .29 to .30? General Manger Shadden - Yes, sir. Again, this is the truth in taxation worksheet. So, what they do is they take the average cost of the Homestead and all this and the county calculates this in and it shows that last year our tax rate was 0.29113, this year our tax rate will be 0.305579. If you remember last year the values went up so much that we had to lower our tax rate. Our tax rate flows with whatever the certified tax rate is. President Caraway - The last two years we've gotten less cash value each year out of that tax rate. Do we know what our.... General Manager Shadden - About $60,000 is what we're picking up this year President Caraway — More, so it's about as far as dollar wise, it's about the same. General Manager Shadden - Yes sir. 2 President Caraway — Perfect. Director Woody - So we need to set the date for this. General Manger Shadden - Yes sir. Director Woody made a Motion to approve setting September 9, 2026, as the hearing date for the proposed 2026-2027 tax rate. The motion was seconded by Secretary Hankamer, and it passed by unanimous vote.
