Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

EXTENDING LATE FEE ON WATER BILL General Manager Shadden — We have been having lots of trouble with the post office. We use bulk mail and I received my bill the Saturday before it was due. Every time I go to the post office to talk to them about it, they say the problem is at the coding facility. So, 1 am asking the Board to move the late fee back to the 26%. I do not feel like it is fair since bills were received on Saturday and it was due on Monday. We are going to look at what it is going to cost to go to first class mail. We also have pay online and you can get it by email. Director Rayburn made a Motion to approve extending the late fee date to December 26% due to mail delivery delays. The motion was seconded by Director Nicely and it passed by unanimous vote.
