Discussion and possible action to set Director Fee amount and effective date in accordance with Resolution 05092019-2 – Ms. Cochran explained that Resolution Page 4 of 5 GCGCD Minutes September 10, 2026 05092019-2 adopted in 2019 outlines the fees of office and reimbursement for expenses for GCGCD Directors per TWC 36.060. The way the Resolution was worded allows for the Board to set the fee amount and effective date by majority vote without having to update the Resolution. The current policy is to pay Directors $250 per month for attending monthly board meetings, regardless of how many meetings are held each month. The Budget Committee discussed updating the policy to allow Directors to be paid per meeting attended, as this September the GCGCD will hold two board meetings. There is sufficient funding available in the current fiscal year budget if the Board elects to make this change. Funds have been allocated for six directors to be paid for twelve meetings in FY 26-27 (Director Miranda does not accept fees of office payments). Motion to set director fee amount for $250 per board meeting attended effective immediately by Jeff Schuehle. Seconded by Jamie Nielson. Motion carried.
