Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

Discussion and possible action to approve the budget for FY 2025-2026. Mr. Starcke and Mr. Jones discussed the budget committee meeting held on July 30th. Mr. Starcke highlighted increases in the general counsel category, mentioning it is difficult to predict what might lie ahead. Mr. Jones commented on the increase in staff salaries and consulting categories as well as increasing the income category to more accurately represent the interest earned from TexPool account. Historically, the District has been conservative in projecting interest income so this year, the interest column has been adjusted to better reflect actual amounts. Motion to approve the FY25-26 budget as presented by Matt Miranda. Second by Rebecca Clark. Motion passed.
