Public Affairs Update Regarding the Basin Survey

This presentation will cover the Basin Survey. The San Antonio River Authority’s (River Authority) Public Affairs team, in partnership with talkStrategy and Guia, will present findings from the Brand Groups Qualitative Research Report. This research explored public perceptions of the River Authority brand and assessed the impact of the current Our River Way creative campaign. The study focused on understanding: Community connections to the San Antonio River — what it means to them, how they interact with it, and how they want to engage with it. Concerns and issues related to the river, including water quality. Awareness, perceptions, and trust in River Authority’s mission, programs, and initiatives. Levels of engagement, participation, and satisfaction with River Authority services. Insights gathered will help identify opportunities to strengthen public connection to the River Authority, enhance messaging, and address gaps between community perceptions and organizational goals. The next step following the focus group will be an evergreen online survey to gather additional input from a broader spectrum of the community. This survey is planned to launch in January 2026.
