Review and Discussion of Upcoming Solicitation Scope of Work for Professional Services Associated with the Pre-qualification for General Engineering (RFQ 345)

The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) staff will review with the Board of Directors the proposed scope of work and evaluation criteria for the following professional services: Request for Qualifications Associated with the Pre-qualification of Professional General Engineering and Architecture Services (RFQ 345) The River Authority will request statements of qualification for engineering and architecture firms to provide professional services for design and engineering analysis. The scope of work would include: Parks and trails design, including landscape architecture and civil site design Architectural design of new structures and restoration of existing structures Survey including boundary, topographic, and bathymetric survey Subsurface Utility Engineering for utility location, quality levels A and B. Firms will be evaluated on criteria to include, but not limited to, experience and qualifications of the respondent and key personnel, project approach and management, and innovation. The pre-qualification of firms will allow staff to consider qualified firms that are able to meet the needs of the River Authority. Contracts would only be issued for specific needs, identified by the River Authority. In addition, this would allow the River Authority to assist partnered governmental agencies more quickly. Firms must meet a minimum score published in the solicitation to be qualified. Firms will remain on the pre-qualified list for up to five years.
