Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

The State of Texas, through the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), supports the ongoing regional water planning process conducted by designated regional water planning groups. The South Central Texas Regional Water Planning Group (Region L) is responsible for developing and updating the Regional Water Plan in accordance with TWDB requirements. The San Antonio River Authority serves in a supporting and administrative role for Region L and is required to submit grant applications to TWDB to secure funding that supports regional water planning activities, including technical consulting services necessary for plan development, updates, and associated tasks. Funding provided by TWDB will support the expenses associated with the development and maintenance of the Regional Water Plan, including procurement of technical consultants and completion of required planning tasks. The grant process may include application submission, execution of grant agreements, and subsequent amendments or extensions as needed to fulfill planning requirements.
