Discussion and possible action to ratify the purchase of two (2) tons/cubic yards of sand from La Flecha Materials in an amount not to exceed $3,000.00, and to further authorize an exemption to the purchasing requisition deadline, and any other matters incident thereto . [Account #7100-6080-001-444001-020 – (Sand and Gravel)] Issue: Casa Blanca Golf Course continues its greens renovation and grow-in process. Additional sand is required as part of the ongoing maintenance program to promote healthy turf growth, improve surface levelness, and continue developing consistent playing surfaces on the newly renovated greens. Solution: Authorize the purchase of the required sand from La Flecha Materials. The material will allow the golf course maintenance team to continue topdressing and servicing the greens as they mature, helping create a tighter, more uniform turf canopy while addressing uneven areas during the grow-in process. Result: Continued improvement in turf density, surface smoothness, and overall green quality. Proper and timely topdressing will support the continued establishment of the renovated greens and help provide more consistent, durable, and playable putting surfaces.
