9. Action Item: Release and Auction of Bus 731 Presenter: Jamarcus Simon Description: Release and Auction of Bus 731, Year Model 2001 — due to the age of the bus and the number of issues it currently has, it would not be in the best interest of the District to continue putting money into repairs. Some of the issues are: The emergency alarm system is having problems. Both left and right rear windows will pop open after hitting several bumps along the route. The bus needs new tires, which will cost around $2,500. The floor is separating around the rear fender area and will need to be replaced.  This could cost around $10,000-$17,000. The bus has a major oil leak. The bus also has a coolant leak. We have had the bus aligned several times, and it still pulls to the right when braking. With the age of the bus, the cost of repairs and everything that is currently wrong with it, Mr. Simon believes it should be taken out of service and sent to auction, rather than putting more money into it.
